Colour is my passion and expression of mood, emotion and feeling and this is expressed through my art. I paint with pastel palette and vibrant colours, exploring, form, subject , tone and the surface of the paper in a painterly style.
My painting style has evolved, painting different subject matter, using different palettes and textures but always keeping to my style and what I observe.
I paint in my own contemporary and unique style with acrylic and with flowing brush and texture in a semi abstract and painterly style, building layers of colour, exploring different colour palettes.
I paint portraits, landscapes, still life and floral subjects capturing moment, space, time and character of the subject, exploring the flow and texture of the paint and the surface of the paper and canvas especially linen and inspired by my travels to Italy and the coastal landscape of the Kent coast, the beauty of my budgie Tweety, wildlife and the countryside, always observing nature in Hertfordshire where I live. Interior design, music, fashion and retro icons have also been a major source of inspiration.
My Art Education
I attended Central St Martin's school of art in 2001 in the summer where I studied life study, drawing, painting, collage and colour relationship which really enriched my interest in art and painting and this is where I embraced and developed my unique style of painting with acrylic paint.
My home studio is based in Radlett, Hertfordshire. For Latest Exhibitions And News
